About Making Milestones
Our Origins
Making Milestones evolved from my keen interest and devotion to rural and isolated communities. I love being involved with and helping community groups and events. I particularly enjoy seeing local groups and events grow, prosper and provide an avenue of enjoyment and purpose in our isolated regions.
My passion is working with rural events and programs such as:
- Community Social Events - Race Days, Gymkhanas, rodeos and bush sports
- Wellbeing and resilience programs
- Ag Shows and Field Days
- Producer forums and business workshops
- Assistance with governance and compliance for community groups & NFP's
- Acquistion of grants to support events and promote long term sustainability.
Making Milestones also provides specialist advice to Local Government, with proven experience in efficient delivery of essential infrastructure services including water, sewerage, waste and more.
Using isolation to my advantage, I love working and living in Western Queensland which is what ultimately led me to start Making Milestones in 2016.
About Ingrid Miller
Founder
Ingrid was born in Far Western NSW and grew up in Longreach, Central Western Queensland. Western Queensland has been her home for over 30 years where she has developed through education, built her career and started a family.
Married to Jason, they have two sons, Jarrod and Rory, who are both in secondary school. The family has longstanding connections to the rural industry with involvement in sheep, wool and beef cattle industries as well as operating mobile diesel fitting business.
Ingrid has worked on local sheep and cattle stations as well as in administrative roles, community development, management, governance and wellbeing programs. She possesses a range of qualifications in Agricultural, Governance, Leadership and Facilitation areas.
Ingrid feels very priviledged to be able to work with local community groups, businesses and events in the region.
